Morson Talent is proud to be partnering with EDF in the search for an experienced Quality Management Lead (QML) to support the delivery of Sizewell C - one of the UK's most significant low-carbon infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the nation's Net Zero ambitions while working on a major nuclear new build programme.

Role Purpose

As a Quality Management Lead, you will ensure that SZC's quality requirements are fully implemented across the entire project life cycle - covering design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, shipping, construction, commissioning and contract close-out.

Working within the Project Delivery Organisation (PDO) Quality Team and embedded within a Programme, you will act as the supply chain's primary point of contact for all quality-related matters. You will perform the role of 'Intelligent Customer', ensuring contractors meet all quality assurance and quality control obligations, drawing on lessons learned from Hinkley Point C.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Oversight
Review, accept and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans.
Produce and implement Project Quality Control Plans for allocated contracts.
Ensure effective deployment of SZC's core quality arrangements, including GQAS, LTQR requirements, Quality Release Certification and ITP specifications.
Lead LTQR reviews and support the progressive handover of records.
Inspection, Surveillance & Supplier Performance
Oversee supplier Inspection & Test Plans, witness points and hold points.
Coordinate manufacturing and construction surveillance activities, ensuring a risk-based approach.
Conduct supplier audits and support contracted inspection entities.
Carry out targeted surveillance of documentation and conduct joint inspections as required.
Support the management of non-conformances, corrective actions and close-out.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong working relationships with internal project teams, designers, supply chain, inspectors and subcontractors.
Support the Quality Delivery Manager in ensuring the Programme meets IMS and project-specific quality requirements.
Provide expert guidance and challenge to ensure Right-First-Time delivery.
Contribute to the development of quality procedures, specifications and continuous improvement activities.
