We are delighted to be working with a specialist manufacturer that operates globally producing bespoke products. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor/Manager you will set and operate the CNC machines in a safe and competent manner and to work as part of a team ensuring that production schedules for the Machine Shop are met.
The role primarily involves:
* To set and operate the CNC lathes or mills which you are assigned to, with the minimum of supervision.
* To run production jobs on the CNC machines and to carry out all inspection duties required to ensure that parts are manufactured correctly to drawing and meet tight deadlines.
* To ensure the ERP system and all paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
* Complete all associated documentation and ensure compliance with ISO9001 procedures.
* To make sure that any machine issues are reported to the relevant Team Supervisor or Machine Shop Manager.
* To follow the company’s philosophy of lean manufacturing and look at ways to make improvements and then bring these to the attention of your team supervisor.
* To be responsible for keeping the areas you are working in and around, clean and tidy
* To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and work in a safe and competent manner.
Ideally you will have at least 3 years machining experience working in a similar industry and will understand the principles of G code CNC programs.
Days/Hours
39-hours - 2-Shift System
Monday to Thursday - 6:00 a.m. to 2.30 pm. | 1.30 pm. to 10 pm.
Fridays - 6:00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. | 12.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
