The Role
As Head of Commercial, you’ll be the go‑to expert for all commercial and contract matters, responsible for bidding into the MoD across various defence categories. You'll play a key role in winning business, structuring deals, and ensuring compliance, while also building and leading a high‑performing team as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the commercial function, setting the strategy for business development and contract management
- Develop and manage bids for MoD contracts, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals
- Negotiate, review, and manage contracts, acting as the key commercial decision‑maker
- Advise on risk, compliance, and legal considerations, ensuring adherence to defence industry regulations
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive revenue growth and market positioning
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a customer facing senior commercial/contracts role within the defence sector
- Strong knowledge of MoD contracts and UK defence contracting frameworks
- Ability to develop commercial strategies and execute winning bid processes
- Leadership skills, with the ambition to build and mentor a commercial team
