The Private Housing Solutions Team leads the Council’s independent housing company, Housing Gateway Ltd, and has recently launched an ethical lettings agency designed to ensure residents are treated fairly regardless of financial status. We take a commercial, collaborative approach and are committed to positive outcomes for the community.
We are looking for a proactive and organised Compliance and Monitoring Officer to ensure all properties within the Housing Gateway and Enfield Let portfolios meet all statutory and licensing requirements. You will work closely with contractors, tenants and freeholders to arrange inspections, testing and certification, ensuring every home is safe and compliant.
Key Duties
• Coordinating statutory safety checks including electrical, gas, PAT and fire safety testing
• Arranging and managing property inspections
• Renewing EPCs and landlord heating maintenance contracts
• Overseeing water safety checks and asbestos surveys
• Obtaining and renewing landlord licences
• Liaising with contractors, tenants and freeholders to arrange access and inspections
• Maintaining accurate compliance records across both portfolios
