My Client is recruiting for a Project Manager in the Water Sector
We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Project Manager to manage a Waste Water site in the Midlands.
You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and your role will be to manage the design, construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner to the specification, within the time required and within the tender estimate without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfaction
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards to direct and subcontracted work force.
2. Ensuring that the BMS is implemented at all stages throughout the project delivery process, i.e from tender handover to final completion.
3. Maintain good client relationships at all levels.
4. Maintain the company's reputation on a project by ensuring good relationships are maintained with joint venture partners and suppliers.
5. Ensuring that sufficient trained personnel are available for the project and that they are aware of their individual responsibilities.
6. Planning projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and then monitoring and controlling the delivery of projects
7. Ensuring that appropriately detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, in place and approved prior to commencement of activities.
8. Ensuring at contract completion that all records referred to in the PEP are complete and available.
9. Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and approximate costs identified.
10. Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates.
11. Have detailed working knowledge and experience of project management practices from scheme conception through to end user acceptance.
12. Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/ associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
13. Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
14. In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and Company as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships.
15. Understanding and implementing the quality, safety and environmental policies and targets
16. Being aware of the need to satisfy customer requirements with the aim of enhancing the customers' perception and satisfaction.
17. Maintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering water and waste water design and build projects.
About The Candidate:
18. Project Management experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry
19. Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline.
20. Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
21. Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users.
22. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
23. Experience in project delivery
24. Strategic, operational, technical and management skills
25. Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer
26. Ability to present at Governance Reviews in a leading capacity
27. Risk & Opportunity Management experience
28. Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
29. Experience in water and waste water treatment plants
30. Ideally Chartered with and engineering, commercial, or construction institution
31. Ideally NEC Project Manager Accreditation
