Basecamp Talent is partnering with a rapidly scaling energy technology business to hire a Business Development Director to help launch a major new energy monitoring and compliance platform into the UK commercial market.
This is a high-impact commercial role within a business that has grown from £1.8m to £6m revenue in under three years and is backed for significant future growth.
You’ll be responsible for taking an innovative cloud-based platform to market across hospitality, industrial, retail, healthcare, and commercial sectors, working directly with senior leadership to drive pipeline, revenue, and long-term client growth.
The Opportunity
Launch a new cloud-based energy monitoring and compliance platform
Access a warm client base of 300+ existing commercial customers
Receive inbound opportunities from internal sales and marketing teams
Build and manage your own pipeline alongside cross-sell opportunities
Run demos, proposals, negotiations, and full sales cycles
Work closely with leadership on commercial strategy and market positioning

What They’re Looking For
Proven experience within Business Development, Field Sales, or Senior Commercial roles
Background in EMS, BMS, energy monitoring, sustainability technology, compliance technology, or related sectors
Strong experience selling into senior stakeholders including Operations Directors, Facilities Directors, Sustainability Leads, and C-suite
Confident running client demos and managing complex commercial conversations
Self-starter mentality with strong pipeline management skills
Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar systems
