As a Shared Lives Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to create safe, supportive homes for adults with additional needs. Your role will include:
1. Recruit and Approve Shared Lives Carers
2. Present Approval Reports at Regional Shared Lives Panels.
3. Match Individuals with carers to create life-changing placements
4. Monitoring and reviewing placements to ensure quality and happiness
5. Work collaboratively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised support plans.
6. Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
7. Promote the Shared Lives model across Coventry and surrounding areas. Attending Promotional events and hosting Presentations.
8. Travel within Coventry and to other Local Authorities for assessments, reviews, and partnership working.
9. Participate in training, meetings, and quality assurance processes.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

10. Experience in adult social care and community support.
11. Relevant Health and Social Care qualification Level 3, or willing to work towards.
12. Strong understanding of person-centeredness and co-production

14. Organised, proactive, and ready to make decisions
15. Passionate about inclusion and empowering others
16. Expectation to travel outside of the Coventry area as part of the role.
