Registered Manager - Brand New Children's Residential Homes Dewsbury | Full-time | £45,000-£50,000 (DOE) performance-related bonus (up to £5,000) The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead the opening of a brand-new therapeutic 2 bed children's home in Dewsbury. As Registered Manager, you will be the operational lead of a children's home committed to therapeutic, trauma-informed residential care. You will play a central role in safeguarding children, embedding a nurturing culture, and ensuring full compliance with OFSTED and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015. This is a rare chance to shape services from the ground up, building strong foundations for high-quality, child-centered care. This post is open to Deputy Managers looking for a step up to RM and the chance to Manage their own home. You must have at least 2 years as a DM to be considered for the role. Key Responsibilities: Lead the setup and day-to-day running of a new children's home, becoming the OFSTED-Registered Manager. Recruit, develop, and retain a motivated team, embedding therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches. Ensure safeguarding is at the heart of every decision and practice. Oversee care planning, compliance, inspections, and audits. Manage budgets, rotas, and resources to ensure smooth operations. Build positive relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and inspectors. Participate in the senior management on-call rota. Candidate Profile Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Minimum 2 years' management experience in a children's residential setting. Strong understanding of safeguarding, OFSTED standards, and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015. A proven track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality care. Confidence in managing budgets and resources. Desirable: Training in therapeutic models such as PACE, TCI, or Trauma Recovery Model. Experience of managing services rated Good or Outstanding.
