Trainee Education Support Assistant Location: Durham Rate: £90–£110 per day Contract: Temporary / Ongoing supply About the Role We are seeking Trainee Education Support Assistants to support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs within a specialist education setting. This role provides excellent on-the-job experience for candidates looking to build a career in education or pastoral support. Key Responsibilities Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour. Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom routines. Encourage positive engagement and social development. Provide consistent support throughout the school day. Help maintain a calm, structured environment. Skills & Experience Interest in education, behaviour support or youth work. Resilient, patient and proactive attitude. Experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential. Willingness to learn and develop professionally. Why Join?
