We have an opportunity to recruit for a Materials Controller 3 month FTC - Days or Nights (there may be the possibility of this role turning permanent). You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of aviation parts, tools and consumables within the Stores operation. The role involves maintaining accurate stock control, coordinating the movement of materials and ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory standards to support aircraft maintenance activities.

Salary: £35,020 basic + £3,000 shift

Summary of Duties – Materials Controller:
* Receive materials, checking for damage, quantity accuracy, and correct release documentation.
* Book received items into the QUANTUM system, quarantining non-compliant materials and liaising with airlines to resolve discrepancies.
* Place accepted materials into secure storage.
* Maintain correct stock levels at all times.
* Return unserviceable materials to airlines promptly to prevent potential charges.
* Monitor shelf life of components, materials, and tooling to ensure compliance.
* Collect and deliver items to and from suppliers, couriers, and security as required.
* Issue materials to engineers while maintaining the QUANTUM/AMOS system.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
* Perform other operational support tasks as required
Operating Environment
* Fast-paced and pressurised environment with reduced lead times.
* Work may be required outside standard office hours.
* Shift work is required.
* Must be physically fit to handle heavy and bulky items.
* Willingness to assist at other locations when needed.
In order to be successful in the role of Materials Controller you will need to demonstrate the following:
Qualifications & Education
* Secondary school level education.
* Excellent verbal and written English.
Experience
* Previous aviation logistics/stores experience preferred (training can be provided).
* Experience with QUANTUM or AMOS stores systems preferred (training available).
Training & Knowledge
* EASA Part 145 course can be provided.
* Knowledge of goods-in inspection and airworthiness certification is an advantage.
* High IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Ongoing training provided as required.
