Bradley Manor Care Home stands as a beacon of warmth and comfort since its establishment in 2015. As the inaugural home of Healthcare Ireland Group, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of each resident. With a total of 79 beds spread across Residential Dementia, Dementia Nursing and General/Frail Elderly Nursing units, we offer a continuum of care to suit varying levels of support required. Our scenic location offers breathtaking views of Belfast, providing a soothing backdrop for residents and families alike to enjoy.
The Role
The role of Unit Manager in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. This a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality, person-centred care. The Unit Manager will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents. The Unit Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of a specific unit within the Home, ensuring all goals and objectives are met in an efficient manner; this will include supervising staff, managing resources and complying with the policies, procedures and best practice guidelines of Healthcare Ireland Group as well as the necessary regulatory bodies. About The Role
Main Responsibilities
• Maintain and monitor RQIA standards within the unit, carrying out audits and risk assessments as required.
• Provide hands-on nursing care and support to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration and clinical interventions.
• Manage the assessment, implementation and evaluation of individual resident care plans that promote wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
• Communicate care plans to the care teams both verbally and in writing, ensuring all safety intervention, care planning and risk assessment documentation is kept up to date and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the care delivered is based on the Positive Behaviour Support Model and that the values of this model are embedded in the Home.
• Ensure effective communication of any developments relating to resident care to the multi-disciplinary teams supporting the resident and the care teams.
• Support the Home Manager with recruitment and selection, ensuring all team members receive a comprehensive induction and have a positive working environment.
• Responsible for medication management and documentation in line with regulatory guidance.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff performance, demonstrating consistent and effective leadership, handling conflict resolution and any staff issues promptly when they arise.

Desired Criteria
* A minimum of 6 months nursing experience
* Experience gained in a care home setting

* Valid UK NMC pin
* Minimum of 6 months nursing experience
* The Right to Work in the UK
* The ability to work independently and supervise a team
* Have a good standard of written and oral English
