Cover Supervisor – Full-Time – Northampton

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of their regular teacher. You’ll manage classroom behaviour, ensure tasks are completed, and maintain a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced cover supervisors, or individuals with previous experience working with young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Delivering pre-prepared work set by subject teachers
* Supporting students with their learning and maintaining engagement
* Reporting back to relevant staff on pupil progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A genuine interest in working in education
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (desirable but not essential)
* A flexible and proactive approach to daily challenges
* An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
