About the role

We’ve a great opportunity for a Cloud & Infrastructure Manager to lead our experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Team. You will have responsibility for ensuring your team remain motivated whilst maintaining the live system infrastructure, to agreed levels of service and availability.

You’ll be responsible for the delivery of high-quality solutions and agreed performance, capacity and availability levels, supporting NWL to meet its strategic objectives. We’re looking for you to ensure that downtime of corporate systems due to data centre infrastructure, cloud infrastructure failures are maintained within agreed service levels.

You’ll embed strong operational processes and continuous improvement, while ensuring our estate remains secure and audit-ready through effective patch management, security incident handling, and disciplined documentation and control evidence.

You will lead on build and migration cloud projects, along with providing accurate estimations of effort and elapsed time for the delivery tasks. You will take ownership of the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE), helping enterprise adoption, governance, development and training, and overall return on investment. You’ll also work strategically, looking for ways to automate the provision, maintenance and upgrade of core services.

About you

We’re looking for the successful candidate to have proven experience in an IT infrastructure & cloud leadership role. You’ll have proven experience of managing teams to develop & improve automation processes to speed up deployment and remove human error.

Technical knowledge is important for this role however your leadership skills will be second to none. Taking prime accountability for the products and services delivered within your team, you will be empowered and comfortable making technical decisions to ensure the expectations of internal and external customers are satisfied.

You will have strong influencing and skills and able to implement change within your team and across the business in a positive way.

It would be great if you have proven experience of Cloud Management and Monitoring platforms/toolsets and if you have a proven understanding of Microsoft Azure, Oracle and Amazon Cloud Services that would be amazing!

If you are certified in either Microsoft MCSE or MCSA: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, MCSA: Azure or AWS Certified, along with having a proven understanding of Microsoft Azure, Oracle and Amazon Cloud Services that would be amazing!
