We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Electrician to join our Landing Gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. This role will involve referencing CMM and Boeing drawings to aid in the overhaul of harnesses and electrical sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and fabricating electrical components.
Tasks
The key responsibilities and duties of the
Electrician
include:
* Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems in aircraft landing gear assemblies
* Fabrication of wire harnesses and mechanical sub-assemblies
* Repair or replace faulty wiring and other electrical components
* Diagnose electrical faults or failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
* Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to determine root causes of issues
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret requirements
* Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of electrical systems
* Maintain accurate paperwork and records of inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with MRO and regulatory documentation standards
* Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with aviation safety standards and regulations
* Adhere to company safety procedures and promote a safe working environment
* Work closely with other MRO technicians, engineers, and quality assurance teams
Requirements
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
* Diploma/'A' Level in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace apprenticeship (desirable)
* 2+ years aircraft build/production experience
* Maths & English GCSE (A–C or equivalent)
* Aerospace electrical experience: prototype, panel & aircraft wiring (essential)
* Familiar with aviation tooling & wiring techniques (Boeing SWPM/SOPM desirable)
* SAP knowledge (advantage)
* Awareness of quality/legislative standards (training provided)
