Job Details We're delighted to be recruiting for a Consumer Insight Director to lead the day-to-day relationship with a major grocery retailer. As part of the grocery retail team at Kantar, you will demonstrate your insight skills and industry expertise by delivering strategic projects and excellent client service. You will manage the team workload, supported by a Client Executive and, later in the year, a Client Manager. You will enjoy mentoring and being a role model for more junior colleagues and will embrace becoming an ambassador for Kantar's Worldpanel's wide range of panel products and services. You will spend two days a week onsite at the client office. Therefore, accessibility to the Yorkshire area is required. Key deliverables: Deliver larger client briefs/presentations with impact consistently demonstrating the value of your expertise to clients. Lead regular (dependent on client scale) service reviews and ensure opportunities and/or concerns identified are actioned. Set priorities for your area of responsibility on a week-to-week basis, Ownership and management of the commercial targets, retention, and client satisfaction in your portfolio. Show a deep knowledge of the full range of our capabilities such that you are sought out as an expert by members of your team and clients alike on how to approach specific questions. Demonstrate the ability and confidence to take client projects that draw on multiple data sources, including analytics and create compelling deliveries for your client. Monitor and escalate data queries and challenges ensuring operational tickets are raised and responded to Implement client contact & actions in response to client satisfaction surveys to improve the indicators in each one. Establish strong mid-senior client relationships, being sought out as an expert in our service and for your opinion on client business challenges working to "Trusted Advisor" status. Contribute to the success of the business beyond your immediate team through divisional or business-wide initiatives. Act as an aspirational mentor to more junior team members around you, helping them to hone their client, commercial and insight skills required for them to progress and enhance their engagement in their career at Kantar. Provide hands-on support for more junior colleagues in your area of responsibility helping them to overcome any barriers and deliver against our business objectives. Support the team around you in the implementation of their personal development plans as aligned with their line managers, flagging any concerns and inputting in biannual performance reviews. Be responsible for your own development by maintaining a live dialogue with your line manager and working with your manager to seek out training that meets your needs. Build client annual account plans for area of responsibility and lead in their implementation. Role models the implementation of new Ways of Working/ Working practices/ new tools. Develop a reputation as a subject matter expert on your client(s) categories whose opinion on the industry is valued by clients and internal colleagues alike. Person Specification: Energy and ambition to continuously develop our reputation with our clients and deliver positive commercial outcomes. Skills to extract, build and present compelling stories from behavioural data in response to strategic client questions. Proven track record of building deep client relationships. Capable of prioritising and balancing focus between short term needs and longer-term objectives. Experience of planning and delivering against commercial targets. Attention to detail to support robust and proactive commercial management. Ability to act as an inspiring coach/mentor to give others the benefit of your experience.
