Job Description Overview: We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Consultant specialising in Breast Radiology to join the dynamic and innovative medical team at an NHS Trust in the Midlands. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert diagnosis and consultation for patients requiring breast imaging services. Responsibilities: Interpret and report on a wide range of breast imaging examinations including mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. Provide expert guidance and consultation to colleagues and referring physicians on complex breast imaging cases. Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment planning and patient care. Contribute to the development and implementation of breast imaging protocols and quality improvement initiatives. Actively participate in continuing education and stay abreast of the latest developments in breast imaging and radiology. Qualifications: Medical degree and board certification in Radiology. Subspecialty fellowship training in Breast Imaging. Current licensure to practice as a Radiologist. Proven experience and expertise in breast imaging interpretation and reporting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centred approach. Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement. Day-to-day: Reviewing and interpreting breast imaging studies, including mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs. Collaborating with referring physicians and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care. Participating in research, teaching, and professional development activities to stay current in the field of breast imaging. Engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. Serving as a resource and mentor to colleagues and trainees in the area of breast radiology.
