Assistant Ecological Consultant / Ecological Consultant
Full‑time hybrid role based in Cambridge, UK with flexible home/office split. Commute to office preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake baseline habitat surveys, assessments and reports.
* Work independently and with existing ecologists to deliver quality projects on time.
* Engage with clients to ensure project delivery to deadlines.
* Write technical reports (ecological constraints reports, preliminary ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, protected species reports) for colleague review.
* Support business development and project management.
Person Specification
* Full UK driving licence with personal vehicle and within commutable distance to Cambridge.
* Demonstrable experience of ecological consultancy work, leading surveys and managing projects.
* Good working knowledge of ecology, legislation and survey techniques, including protected species surveys and mitigation.
* Graduate level education in a relevant subject.
* Excellent written communication skills; ability to produce accurate technical reports to a professional standard.
