The opportunity:
We are seeking a support engineer for our development/production manufacturing lines. You will translate design requirements into user instructions and develop the project manufacturing architecture, supporting operations staff within the manufacturing facility.
This role offers growth opportunities in manufacturing, including work on Industrial Validation, manufacturing architecture, and future factory principles. You will work on multiple projects, focusing on manufacturing problem identification and resolution:
* Support existing manufacturing lines and new product introductions
* Support industrial validation processes using FMEA and process proving activities
* Manage configuration control by updating manufacturing documentation and industrial validation
* Support non-conformance processes
* Ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
* Implement safe operating procedures for changed processes, liaising with COSHH assessors, SHE, and considering human factors
* Collaborate with the design authority during prototype and development phases to optimise Design for Manufacture (DfM)
* Maintain and update Manufacturing Instructions and BOMs
* Develop and control tooling
What we're looking for from you:
* NVQ Level 3 in technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship and a relevant HNC or equivalent qualification
* OR a BEng in relevant Engineering
* Proactive problem-solving skills and commitment to meeting delivery milestones
* Ability to interpret Design Drawings for manufacturing instructions
* Teamwork skills
* Familiarity with digital communication platforms
