Overview
RPS is looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join our team based ideally in London or Newark, United Kingdom. Our award-winning team provides assessments such as Energy Reports, Overheating Assessments, Daylight Analysis, BREEAM Assessments, Sustainability Statements, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for a range of clients to support design teams through the planning process.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will work with a well-established team of environmental consultants, developing your skill set and progressing your career. You’ll be trained to provide support across a range of projects and technical areas, including research, site visits, appraisals and report writing. When appropriate, you’ll take responsibility for individual tasks and projects.

Who We Are Looking For
* A degree (BSc/BEng) in a relevant subject (e.g., Environmental Science/Engineering, Climate Change, Engineering, Architecture); ideally with a relevant Masters (MSc/MEng) or postgraduate qualification.
* A good understanding of BREEAM assessments and the BREEAM process (Design and Post Construction) and experience working through several BREEAM assessments; knowledge of what the BRE require is essential.
* BREEAM certified in at least one BRE scheme (BREEAM-In-Use, New Construction, Refurbishment and Fit Out, International); a BREEAM AP certification would be beneficial.
* Experience working on BREEAM assessments.
* Experience undertaking Whole Life Carbon Assessments using OneClick LCA Software.
Strong communication skills are essential to build relationships with colleagues, clients and external bodies. A commitment to developing technical knowledge and a proactive approach to professional development is expected and supported by us.
