About the Role
This 12‐month placement gives you the opportunity to work within the Fuel Route Department, supporting equipment reliability, plant performance and engineering assurance across electrical, mechanical and C&I systems.
You'll work in a multi‐discipline team, learn the fundamentals of nuclear safety, and gain experience in operational engineering at a functioning power station. You will also take on real project work that contributes directly to plant reliability, safety systems and departmental improvement activity.
Key Criteria / Must‐Haves
To be considered, applicants must:
* Be on track to achieve (or already hold) at least a 2:2 degree in one of the following:
* Electrical Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Control & Instrumentation Engineering
* Have strong analytical and technical problem‐solving skills
* Be confident working in a safety‐led, regulated engineering environment
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Have a genuine interest in large‐scale engineering, plant systems and nuclear operations
* Hold the legal right to work in the UK from the placement start date
Desirable qualities:
* Curiosity about plant systems, reliability engineering or operational safety
* Experience with technical analysis, lab work or engineering projects
* A proactive approach to learning and problem solving
