We are seeking a motivated and experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of a well-regarded college in Leicester for a September start whilst they recruit for the permanent role.
You will be responsible for preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and statutory reports, while overseeing all aspects of daily finance operations including payroll, bank reconciliations, purchase/sales ledgers, VAT returns, and asset management.
The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting income generation initiatives and lettings processes, ensuring robust and efficient financial procedures.
As Finance Manager, you will lead a small team, working closely with the Executive Headteacher, SLT, and Governors, ensuring compliance with ESFA regulations and internal policies.
You will be AAT Level 3 qualified with excellent communication and analytical skills. Experience in a school or academy setting and knowledge of systems like SIMS or FMS is desirable.
This will suit a Finance Officer seeking their next move into a management role.
