Job Description
The Security Assurance Manager - Learning is responsible for assuring the Aviation Security elements of Learning, ensuring operational requirements are shared and embedded in training outcomes. Through developing strong, collaborative relationships with key colleagues across Learning Design, Delivery and Operations, this role will ensure that training delivered to Security colleagues is aligned with regulatory obligations, considers specific Heathrow requirements and is administered compliantly. The role will play an important role in engaging with the individual terminal Learning delivery teams to ensure alignment and facilitation of training. The role will act as a conduit across the functions, focussing on aligning key priorities through the review of content, information-share and management of assurance frameworks.
Your role will involve
* Support the development and manage an assurance framework ensuring the delivery of training in line with Aviation Security requirements relating to DfT-set syllabus and specific Heathrow requirements.
* Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key colleagues from Learning Design, Delivery and Operations.
* Review all training content including Initial, Recurrent and TIR to ensure it meets regulatory syllabus requirements and incorporates Heathrow-specific issues through identification of gaps in learning outcomes against operational trends.
* Lead proactive preparation for annual Inspections and Audits maintaining oversight of internal assurance as well as developing detailed reports on readiness and areas of potential non-compliance.
* Support development of existing and future-state record-keeping, assessment procedures and administration of restrictions including compliance dates.
* Understand the security threat which impacts Heathrow Airport, ensuring that the wider security functions are communicated to, and have an input in ensuring that our strategy of Protection is always the focus.
These Skills Are Essential
* Ability to attain and retain relevant security clearance including CTC.
* Strong understanding of Aviation Security Processes specifically Ground Security Operative (GSO) and Ground Security Supervisor (GSS).
* Experience of working within a Security Operation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
* High attention to detail for reviewing processes, communication briefs and data.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
* Familiarity with and ability to interpret Aviation Security Regulation.
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholder groups.
* Certified Instructor Number (CIN).
