Your Role As a core Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Woking team, you will:
* Mechanical & Electrical Repair: Carry out routine servicing, mechanical repairs, brake system maintenance, suspension setups, and steering adjustments.
* Diagnostics: Use advanced car and van diagnostic equipment to track down, investigate, and rectify complex electrical and mechanical faults.
* Servicing: Perform thorough bumper-to-bumper vehicle inspections, safety checks, and fluid changes across a wide variety of makes and models.
* Fleet Support: Handle routine maintenance and repairs on light commercial vehicles (vans) alongside everyday passenger cars.
* Technical Quality: Maintain "right first time" standards to keep our customer satisfaction score flawless and the workshop operating efficiently.
What You Need
* Qualifications: Level 2 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent proven hands-on experience).
* Technical Skill: Solid experience working within a busy workshop or garage, with strong multi-make mechanical knowledge and confident fault-finding skills.
* Certification: An MOT tester licence (Class 4 or Class 7) is a major advantage but not essential.
* Attributes: A reliable, self-motivated technician who enjoys a supportive team environment and takes genuine pride in a job well done.
* Licensing: A full, valid UK driving licence.
