We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Poole, Dorset for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team.
The practice is looking for a confident and ambitious RVN who has good experience working in a small animal practice. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the wider team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve assisting in surgery, nurse consults and inpatient care.
This role is full time for 39 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 8am and 7:30pm, along with 1 in 5 Saturdays from 9am to 6pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
Duties:
6. Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
7. Admissions and discharges
8. Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical teams to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care
9. Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
10. Monitoring operations and assisting the vet in surgery
11. Administering medications and taking records accurately
12. In-patient care
13. Nurse clinics
14. Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work

67. Salary: £23, to £29, per annum, commensurate to experience
