Description
* Process import documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Monitor shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records of import activities and related costs.
* Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customs clearance.
* Ensure all import operations adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
* Assist in preparing reports related to logistics and import activities.
* Support the logistics team with administrative tasks as required.
Profile
The successful Interim Import Clerk should have:
* Previous experience in import operations within the logistics or FMCG industry.
* Strong knowledge of customs procedures and import documentation requirements.
* Proficiency in using logistics and shipping software tools.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
