To provide high-quality teaching and learning on a temporary or ad-hoc basis, ensuring continuity of education when permanent staff are absent. This role is ideal for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) seeking to broaden their classroom experience across a variety of schools, subjects, and key stages.
The Supply Teacher (NQT) will deliver engaging lessons, support the progress and wellbeing of pupils, and maintain a positive and safe learning environment. The role provides valuable opportunities to gain confidence, develop classroom management skills, and experience different school settings while building a strong foundation for a long-term teaching career.

As a newly qualified teacher you’ll be expected to:
1. Hold QTS status and actively work towards your induction
2. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
3. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
4. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
5. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
6. Maintain discipline
7. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
8. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
9. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
10. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
11. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
