Sociology Lecturer opportunity - Shipley - Part-Time
Reed Further Education is seeking a dedicated Sociology Lecturer to join our FE curriculum team on a part‑time basis.
Location: Shipley
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Part time (Monday - Wed)
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £180 a day
What you'll do:
* Deliver high‑quality, engaging Sociology lessons (Psychology specialists also encouraged to apply)
* Support learners of varied abilities to develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes
* Contribute to planning, assessment, curriculum development and quality processes
* Create an inclusive, motivating, and well‑managed learning environment
What we're looking for:
* A recognised teaching qualification and relevant subject degree
* Strong subject expertise in Sociology (Psychology considered)
* Experience teaching in FE, schools or adult education (desirable)
* A supportive, learner‑centred teaching approach and commitment to continuous improvement
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years' referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
