Sales Manager
About Social Chameleon
Social Chameleon is a London-based, globally operating social-first creative and digital marketing agency with a refined focus on premium lifestyle, travel, beauty and design brands. Our positioning centres on “The Art of Living, Told Beautifully” - combining data-driven strategy, emotionally resonant storytelling and socially native content to deliver standout campaigns for leading brands.
We’re now looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to lead the conversion of opportunities, drive new business revenue and manage the early-stage client funnel from lead → qualification → close. This role sits at the intersection of business development, commercial strategy and client acquisition.
Role Overview
As our Sales Manager you will:
* Own and drive the agency’s new business pipeline, turning inbound leads and warm prospects into signed engagements
* Qualify and engage prospective clients (brands, global campaigns, retained models) and guide them through discovery, proposal and closing phases
* Collaborate closely with our BD/Partnerships, Client Services, Strategy and Creative teams to ensure alignment in positioning, scope and cost-modeling
* Establish and refine sales process, tools and metrics (CRM maintenance, reporting, forecasting)
* Achieve growth targets through a mix of new business wins, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, service line expansion and strategic partnerships
* Develop compelling proposals, commercial models, case studies and pitch materials that reflect our premium positioning
* Maintain strong knowledge of our market, competitive landscape and emerging client needs
* Build, nurture and manage relationships with senior brand and agency stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner from initial contact through to contract
* Work in partnership with leadership to identify and prioritise target sectors, geographies and high-value accounts for expansion
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of inbound leads, referrals and ongoing warm prospects; conduct discovery sessions and assess fit (brief, budget, timeline, service model)
* Qualify leads, build pipelines, set meetings and engage seamlessly with stakeholders from CMO/Head of Marketing level
* Lead proposal development: scope, pricing, commercial terms, service model and contract negotiation
* Hit monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue targets (new business) and contribute to pipeline growth metrics
* Maintain accurate forecasting and sales pipeline reporting; present to senior leadership
* Establish and maintain a sales process and supporting tools (CRM, tracking, dashboards)
* Collaborate with BD/Client Services teams on transition of won business into delivery, ensuring smooth hand-over
* Identify service expansion opportunities within accounts and in target markets (e.g., entering new geographies, launching new service lines)
* Attend industry events, build network and represent the agency externally
* Continually refine value proposition and positioning to resonate with premium, global clients
About You
* Proven experience (typically 3–6+ years) in a sales, new business or account acquisition role - ideally within a creative agency, marketing services, digital media, or tech-enabled services environment
* Demonstrable track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
* Strong commercial acumen - comfortable with pricing models, service scopes, margins and contract negotiation
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships
* Organised and methodical - strong pipeline management, forecasting and CRM fluency
* Strategic thinker with a growth mindset: you spot opportunities, ask the right questions and shape propositions
* Good knowledge of the digital marketing space (social media, content, influencer, paid, creative) and awareness of global market trends
* Collaborative and solutions-oriented: able to work seamlessly across internal teams and external clients
* Based in or willing to be in London, with hybrid working (office + remote) flexibility
A degree in Marketing, Business or related field is advantageous but not essential.
Compensation
Base Salary: open to negotiation - circa £40k+ commission
