Brightpoint invites qualified applicants for a Programmer/Analyst position.
The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting cloud-based and AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational efficiency and institutional effectiveness. This role focuses on modernizing systems, building secure and scalable applications, and leveraging emerging technologies aligned with College and VCCS strategies.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining cloud-hosted applications using platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other approved environments; integrating solutions with enterprise systems (ERP, SIS, LMS, identity platforms); and ensuring compliance with architecture and security standards. The position also develops AI-enabled applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), AI studios, and automation tools to create intelligent assistants and workflow solutions while ensuring ethical, secure, and compliant implementation.
Additional duties include supporting and optimizing existing applications, implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices, researching emerging technologies, conducting pilot projects, collaborating with campus stakeholders, producing technical documentation, and providing training to ensure effective adoption of supported solutions.

Required:
9. 4+ years of application development or systems integration experience
10. Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar
11. Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
12. Familiarity with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and identity systems
13. Understanding of secure coding practices and IT governance
14. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
15. Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
16. Experience using LLMs, AI platforms, or AI Studio tools
17. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure OpenAI, or similar services
18. DevOps experience (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CI/CD)
19. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
