Antrim as Head of Technical, where you'll lead innovation, shape product strategy, and drive technical excellence across the business. The Role Lead the technical department, overseeing new product development and enhancements to existing ranges. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Conduct feasibility studies for new product lines, tooling investments, and equipment acquisitions. Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards, certifications, and building regulations. Champion lean manufacturing and cross-departmental collaboration to improve output and consistency. Maintain accurate technical documentation across product design and manufacturing workflows. Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and competitor activity to maintain a market-leading edge. What You Need Proven track record in product design and development within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with PVC extrusion - essential. Strong understanding of plastics processing, thermal performance, and structural calculations. Advanced CAD skills (AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D) with a working knowledge of industry-specific tools. Familiarity with compliance standards, testing protocols, and certification processes. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects.
