About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Northamptonshire Council’s Housing Solutions Service for a Senior Landlord Liaison Officer. This pivotal role will lead on developing and delivering innovative solutions to improve access to the private rented sector, with a strong focus on preventing and relieving homelessness and reducing the use and cost of temporary accommodation.
You will be responsible for the operational management of the Accommodation for Ex-Offenders (AfEO) Project and the wider private rented sector access scheme. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with private landlords, letting agents, and criminal justice partners, and ensuring that residents receive high-quality, person-centred tenancy support.
You will manage a team of AfEO and Landlord Liaison Officers, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure consistent, customer-centred service delivery. You will also work closely with colleagues across the service to match households to suitable accommodation, promote tenancy sustainment, and shape future service delivery through performance monitoring and policy development.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of private rented sector challenges, experience in housing options or homelessness services, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and passionate about creating sustainable housing solutions for vulnerable individuals and families.
The role will require the post holder to operate across the North Northamptonshire area.
