* Full time starting salary: £36,130 to £45,413, with potential progression to £48,149

* Full Time, Fixed Term contract up to May 2027

Role Summary
We seek a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to evaluate biomaterials biologically. The project involves assessing cytocompatibility and tissue response to new polymeric adhesives, hosted in the Arno lab, part of a UKRI funded project, with opportunities for collaboration.
The candidate will handle cell culture, live cell assays, tissue culture with microfluidic devices, and ex vivo tissue adhesion assays. Experience in these areas is required, along with skills in confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. The role includes contributing to research strategies, supervising students, outreach, and teaching.

Person Specification
* PhD or near completion in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related
* Strong research profile at the interface of material science and cell biology
* Experience in cell culture, live assays, microscopy, flow cytometry
* Interest in interdisciplinary research and learning new techniques
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Proven publication record
