If you’re passionate about supporting people, making a positive difference, and creating safe, healthy, and connected communities, this part time (22.5 hours), permanent role based in Cardiff could be a great fit for you. As a Housing and Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll play an important part in helping customers feel secure in their homes, overcome challenges, and build confidence for the future.
As a Housing and Wellbeing Advisor, you will make a real difference every day. Work directly with customers to empower them to improve their housing stability, wellbeing and connection with appropriate services.
Use a compassionate, person-centred approach to help people overcome challenges such as home conditions, financial pressures, or accessing support.
Shape and deliver projects that improve wellbeing, promote healthy homes, sustainable occupancies and strengthen communities.
Be part of a team that values kindness, inclusion, and continuous learning.
You will work within our Customer & Community team and report to the Wellbeing Manager.
Work closely with Neighbourhood Housing, Community Safety, Income, Repairs, and other teams.
Be a key link between customers and different services, helping everyone work together smoothly.
Partner with external organisations such as health services, support agencies, and community groups.
Although the role is flexible, it is not home-based. You will spend most of your time in local communities and visiting customers in their homes. We’re looking for someone who has experience supporting people in housing, wellbeing, or community settings, and who is confident building trusted relationships with individuals who may be vulnerable or facing barriers. You will need to be comfortable working with partner agencies, managing a varied workload, communicating with empathy, and using digital tools to record information and stay organised. An understanding of trauma-informed approaches, safeguarding responsibilities, and the factors that impact someone’s ability to sustain their home is important. A good level of literacy and numeracy, along with a full driving licence and access to a car for business use, is required.
