Job Summary
Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people during mental health crises? Are you experienced in risk assessment, safety planning, and providing care that helps young people remain at home instead of being admitted to hospital?

We are seeking experienced practitioners to join a 24/7, 365-day CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Team. You will deliver care to young people in crisis, working alongside families and partner agencies to provide interventions that make a real difference. Generous enhancements are paid for weekend and on-call shifts, and ongoing training opportunities will help you thrive in a supportive, friendly team.

* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to prevent inpatient admissions and support early discharge.

* Manage a caseload autonomously from first contact to discharge while contributing to team planning and development.

* Act as Care Coordinator as required, delivering assessments, care planning, and follow-up support.

* Participate in on-call and out-of-hours rotations.

* Contribute to the development of junior staff, providing supervision, mentorship, and training opportunities.

* Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation, and organisational policies.

Experience – Essential:

* Post-qualification experience in CAMHS or a similar service, including assessment, planning, and intervention.

* Experience of crisis management and working with young people in partnership with families and agencies.

* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge & Skills – Essential:

* Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health legislation, and safeguarding.

* Skilled in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based practice.

* Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.

Why Apply?
By joining this service, you will gain a breadth of experience across a specialist CAMHS setting while working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment that prioritises staff development, wellbeing, and high-quality care.
