Quality Assurance Operative Food Manufacturing £29,328.00-£32,627.00 per year Monday - Friday / 5am - 1pm Aldridge - WS9 Job Overview: Responsible for assisting with securing the quality, safety, integrity, and authenticity of the product during and post processing. To also carry out quality administration and monitoring of compliance documentation. Duties : Assisting the Quality Manager with day-to-day tasks including the upkeep of the food safety and quality manual to meet the legal, company and certification bodies standards and requirements Ensuring all approval documentation (questionnaires and certificates) kept on file for each supplier are maintained correctly and up to date to allow for quick access and compliance with regulations Arranging and overseeing all microbiological and chemical testing is being carried out in line with the testing procedures held in the quality manual Continually keeping informed with all current legislation and audits scopes to ensure that the plant consistently produces product to legal and customer specification Overseeing and verifying all routine quality checks, to make sure these are being carried out correctly including metal detection / raw material inspection / intake inspection / traceability documentation To prepare materials to assist or carry out with other testing processes such as water quality testing, pH testing, raw material and finished product testing according to comply with legal and internal procedures Verifying all external pest control audits, scheduling these to be carried out timely and correctly by the supplier of service and updating records of this and storage of documentation for company accountability Ensuring calibrations are being carried out in a timely manner and all calibration schedules are being adhered to, including but not limited to product probes, vehicle probes, fridge/freezer probes, metal detectors to conform to company and legal requirements Observing that all monthly chemical dilution titrations are being carried out as per the titration schedule to meet with health and safety and legal requirements Identifying any areas of concern, or development can take place and addressing these with your line manager to contribute towards the integrity of the production process Experience : COSHH Internal Auditing Food safety level 3 Food labelling (In house training mandatory) Health and safety Administrator, Training Facilitator, Maintenance department, external service providers, external auditors Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to Comply with safe working practices Complete online training as and when required Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable
