Job Description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client, seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support machinery maintenance and repairs across the Hertfordshire, Berkshire, and North London region. This is a mobile role focused on ensuring equipment remains in peak condition through planned maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of industrial and access machinery.
2. Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues independently on customer sites.
3. Respond promptly to customer-reported faults, delivering effective on-site solutions.
4. Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and associated documentation.
5. Submit timesheets and parts requests in a timely and organised manner.
6. Ensure all repair and inspection activities comply with relevant safety procedures and legal standards.
7. Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself, colleagues, and customers at all times.
8. Operate only with company-supplied lifting and handling equipment, ensuring full compliance.
9. Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
10. Build and sustain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
* Proven mechanical engineering background, ideally within industrial or materials handling sectors.
* Hands-on experience servicing forklift trucks and similar equipment.
* Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
* Confident working independently, managing tasks without close supervision.
* High levels of accuracy, organisation, and time management.
* Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
* Safety-conscious with a strong understanding of health & safety and customer service expectations.
* Positive, team-focused attitude with a proactive and reliable work ethic.
