Exciting times are ahead as SRM gears up for a major construction programme in Port Talbot, South Wales! Over the next 3 to 4 years, we’ll be undertaking heavy construction and civil engineering works across various industrial fronts, starting with enabling works in Q3: 2025.

The Package Engineer Role
As a vital member of the project team, reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will:
* Oversee the design, coordination, and management of various subcontractors in your area of work.
* Interface with internal departments and external agencies, including Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, and Client agents.
* Ensure that SRM’s obligations to subcontractors are understood and fulfilled.
* Organize and conduct regular site progress meetings with subcontractors to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
* Keep the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director updated on all issues.
Your Profile
Key focus areas will include setting out. Ideally, you will:
* Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Be able to prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with the assistance of a project planner.
* Have proven experience in package management.
* Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator is a plus.
* Be knowledgeable about building products, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards.
* Have or be working towards a construction industry-related professional membership (e.g., ICE, CIOB, RICS, CIBSE, IStructE).
