Key responsibilities of the role include - - The Finance Intelligence and Innovation Lead provides strategic leadership in maximising the value of financial data and enhancing reporting and analysis capabilities within Police Scotland’s finance function. - Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Control, this role is responsible for overseeing the Finance Business Intelligence function, driving the integration of financial systems, innovative technologies, and BI tools to support robust financial reporting to aid decision-making. - Working in close partnership with the wider finance team, the role aims to foster data-driven insights and improvements across all aspects of financial management, reporting, and analysis. - This position will also play a key role in ensuring financial data integrity and promoting continuous innovation within the finance function. Additionally, the role contributes to the statutory reporting cycle and leads the delivery of high-quality, timely financial analysis to both internal and external stakeholders. - The role will also continue to develop, monitor, and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between finance areas and support the enforcement of Organisational Level Agreements (OLAs) between Finance and the wider organisation.
