Overview
Clinical Psychologist role at TipTopJob, Stoke-on-Trent, England, United Kingdom. An exciting opportunity to work in an excellent care centre providing specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. To be considered for this position you must be registered with the HCPC, BPS accredited and a Chartered Member of the BPS.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the assessment of referrals and provide initial assessment for service users referred to the service
* Undertake high-quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and make autonomous clinical decisions
* Work therapeutically with service users with complex presentations; undertake assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods
* Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multifactorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice
* Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care
Qualifications
* HCPC registration
* BPS accreditation
* Chartered Member of the BPS
* Experience in applying psychological knowledge to clinical/neuro settings and with clients with cognitive deficits; experience in conducting research and project work is beneficial
