Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Part Time Weekend Head Server to help lead our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Duties
* Lead and supervise the serving team to ensure outstanding customer service and adherence to service protocols
* Coordinate table assignments and manage reservations to optimise seating efficiency
* Assist with food and beverage service, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of orders
* Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing informed recommendations to guests
* Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
* Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required, maintaining seamless communication between front and back of house
* Handle guest enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
* Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and report generation
* Train new staff members on service standards, safety procedures, and company policies
* Maintain a clean, organised work environment aligned with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
* Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, ideally with prior supervisory or leadership responsibilities
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
* Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
* Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
* Experience working in kitchens or culinary environments is advantageous
* Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively while maintaining high service standards
* Time management skills to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
* Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue
