We have a brand-new role – Estates Assistant Apprentice – we will fund and support you to achieve Facilities Management Supervisor Level 3 qualification.
£17,360 annual salary, £9 per hour.
The successful candidate will join a growing Trust of special schools and Alternative Provision, with a career pathway into Estates Management.
What you will be doing:
Assisting the Estates Manager and the Site Teams to:
1. Ensure the safe and effective management of the school sites
2. Plan and organise preventative maintenance schedules
3. Engage contractors and manage contractors on site
4. Liaise with external cleaning companies to ensure effective cleaning arrangements are in place
5. Ensure that security and keyholding arrangements are effective
6. Respond to premises defects • Manage premises improvement projects
7. Support the management of external lettings
8. Organise the setup of school/Trust events
9. Maintain premises records
10. Undertake safety testing, e.g. fire alarms
11. Complete and review risk assessments
12. Complete and review COSHH assessments (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
13. Address health and safety recommendations and action plans
