Crown Spa Hotel Scarborough blends Victorian charm with modern luxury on the scenic Yorkshire coast. The award-winning spa offers a tranquil escape with various treatments, while the leisure centre features a 40ft indoor pool and a gym. Each of our 116 bedrooms, from standard to executive, are designed for comfort and style, with many boasting breathtaking views of the sea. We are on the search for an enthusiastic, passionate, and dynamic individual to join us as a Night Porter.
You will be responsible for providing a high standard of service at reception and throughout the hotel facilities during the night and carrying out tasks to ensure the smooth running of the reception operation and hotel. We are looking for someone who is able to work from 11pm until 7am.
Your duties will include:
Looking after hotel security and guest welfare at night, maintaining the upmost courtesy and politeness to guests.
Run the night audit.
Clean the hotels public areas.
Conduct regular floor walks and security checks of fire exits and public areas, reporting any irregularities to the manager on duty.
Assist in setting up and servicing event rooms.
Serving on the hotel bar.
Have thorough knowledge of all systems and procedures used within the hotel and department and to provide support as and when required.
Be aware of weekly business in the hotel & maximize every sales opportunity for food, beverage and rooms.
Perform any other duties/projects at other locations as required by any member of the Management team.
The successful candidate will be organised, punctual and efficient. You will also have excellent communication skills with both colleagues and with customers.
