Role Overview The Behaviour Support Worker will work closely with pupils across various age groups who may struggle with social, emotional or behavioural regulation. Your presence will help them navigate their school day with structure and confidence, contributing to their overall progress and well-being. Role Responsibilities Provide consistent in-class and out-of-class support to students with behavioural difficulties. Encourage emotional regulation, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning. Follow and help implement personalised behaviour support plans. Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all pupils. Assist with academic tasks where needed, promoting engagement and participation. Candidate Profile Experience in SEN, youth work, care, or behaviour mentoring is highly beneficial. A compassionate, reliable, and patient approach is essential. Comfortable working in environments that may present challenging behaviour. A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities. Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
