The Civil Works Alliance is seeking an experienced and dynamic HSW Systems Lead to play a key role in the success of the Sizewell C Project.
This role involves developing, communicating, implementing, and refining the CWA Safety Management System (SMS). You'll ensure the SMS adapts to evolving risks, providing a framework to prioritize safety. Working closely with project teams, you'll help achieve operational excellence, ensuring high standards of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head of HSW and the team in developing an effective Safety Management System (SMS) for the CWA.
* Collaborate with the IMS development team for the launch of the CWA IMS.
* Monitor legislation and updates from clients and parent companies to ensure SMS compliance.
* Assist in implementing the SMS and maintaining compliance through engagement and assurance activities.
* Prepare reports based on engagements and audits of the SMS.
* Build and maintain relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
* Ensure lessons learned are communicated and integrated into the SMS.
* Support the promotion of the Nuclear Safety message within the CWA team.

* Ability to plan and manage workload for self and team.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to influence and promote a positive HSW culture.
* Engagement skills across all levels of the operational team.
* Understanding of UK Health and Safety Legislation.
* Experience with health and safety management systems.
* Experience in managing people / direct reports.
* Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Managers and Professionals competence.
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
