About the Role:
Sellick Partnership is seeking a Monitoring Officer and Head of Democratic and Electoral Services to join a Local Authority on an interim basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a highly respected team.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Organising and managing the democratic and electoral functions of the local authority
* Implementing Corporate and Service Policies and Strategies
* Collaborating with local authority services and external partners
* Ensuring delivery of the Corporate Plan
* Handling member complaints
* Attending full cabinet meetings
Key Skills and Experience:
* Experience leading democratic and/or elections services
* Experience as a Monitoring Officer
* Experience in the public sector/local authorities
* Understanding of political processes and managing sensitive issues
* Project planning and management skills
* Knowledge of legislation related to Electoral and Democratic processes
* Leadership and management abilities
* Ability to analyze and communicate complex information effectively
Working Arrangements: The role offers hybrid working with one day in the office per week, with flexibility for the right candidate.
