About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Content Designer to join a cross-functional digital team, delivering user-focused content for government services. The successful candidate will work across various platforms and touchpoints, with a focus on creating clear, accessible, and user-centred content that aligns with GDS standards.
This role requires someone confident working independently across all stages of design-from research and ideation through to delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver clear, accessible content in line with the GDS (Government Digital Service) standards
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including service designers, user researchers, and developers
* Use evidence, data and research to make content decisions and iterate based on feedback
* Ensure content reflects the organisation's tone of voice, brand and values
* Simplify complex information and processes using plain English
* Contribute to and maintain content strategies and style guides
* Engage with stakeholders and manage relationships effectively
* Support continuous improvement practices (e.g. Agile, Lean methodologies)
Mandatory Skills & Experience
* Experience with the Power Platform
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 (M365) suite
* Practical experience working to GDS standards
Desirable Skills
* Experience with legal process and/or document redesign (not essential)
* Background in continuous improvement or agile delivery environments
* Ability to coach others in clear communication principles
