This logistics company provides logistics services including road and rail transport, warehousing, and terminal management across Scotland. It has been established for a number of years and works with some very prestigious clients in the industry. The company offers integrated third-party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management to a number of blue-chip customers across Scotland and England.
Your new role
The company is seeking to appoint an experienced and competent Weekend Traffic Coordinator at their logistics depot. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a keen interest in transport and distribution who can demonstrate a proven record of effective and efficient transport planning within a busy national fleet operation. The overall objective of this role is to ensure that the customer receives first-class service whilst maintaining cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include providing professional customer service, day-to-day load planning and scheduling of the fleet, prioritising workload and route planning, daily driver briefings and de-briefings, tachograph tracking, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers. The above duties are integral aspects of the role, but there are other tasks involved in the day-to-day operation of the depot which you will be expected to participate in.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for candidates who have some experience with transport planning and good geographical knowledge.

A competitive salary. This is a weekend position with working hours on Friday from 0800-1800, and Saturday and Sunday from 0600-1700.
