The Role
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with specialist expertise in brain injury rehabilitation to join our team at the consultant level. In this senior role (equivalent to an Associate Director level), you will lead and deliver high-quality SLT services for clients.
Location: While ideally based in the East or West Midlands, location is flexible for the right candidate. Willingness to travel to client visits is required.
Flexibility and Autonomy: You will manage your own diary, allowing independence and flexibility in scheduling around client needs.
Clinical Focus: You will work across a varied caseload of adult and paediatric clients, focusing on communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication needs, especially following acquired brain injury.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician ready to shape services, lead complex cases, and contribute to service development.
Requirements
* Qualified SLT: Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree, current HCPC registration, and RCSLT membership.
* Extensive Experience: Minimum of 8 years post-qualification, with significant expertise in acquired brain injury rehabilitation.
* Adult & Paediatric Experience: Clinical experience with both populations, even if more limited in one area.
* Consultant-Level Skills: Ability to practice autonomously at a senior level, leading complex cases independently.
* Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands and beyond.
* Self-Management: Excellent skills in managing caseloads, schedules, and clinical decisions.
* Communication Skills: Outstanding ability to collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Desirable: Experience or interest in medico-legal/expert witness work (training available if needed).
