Contract: Full-time or long-term supply

Pay: £ per hour PAYE / £ via Umbrella
About the Role
Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Honiton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
You will be working one-to-one or within small groups, supporting pupils with a range of needs such as:
1. Autism (ASC)
2. ADHD
3. Speech, language & communication needs
4. SEMH
5. Cognition & learning difficulties

Responsibilities
6. Supporting pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
7. Assisting the class teacher with planning and adapting lessons where needed
8. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation using a trauma-informed approach
9. Helping pupils engage with learning and develop confidence
10. Creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for all learners
Requirements
11. Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
12. A caring, resilient and patient nature
13. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
14. An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
15. Right to work in the UK
16. Relevant training (, Team Teach, Autism Awareness) is a bonus but not essential
