Female Personal Assistant

Ref: DP3024

Location: Bognor Regis

Driver's licence required: Yes

Hourly pay rate: £12.71 per hour (flexible)

Start time: 8:00am; finish flexible. Working hours per week to be discussed with employer. Holiday cover initially, potential to become permanent if both parties agree.


Role Overview

The role is to support a 67‑year‑old woman living independently. The successful applicant will provide personal assistance, domestic support, companionship, and care for the employer’s cats.


Duties

* Personal care and companionship
* Meal preparation, drinking and feeding assistance
* Housekeeping: washing, drying, ironing, laundry, cleaning, dusting, hoovering, making beds
* Pet care: looking after cats and feeding them
* Bathroom assistance and dressing/undressing
* Preparing and assisting with medication
* Transportation and accompanying the employer to appointments/shopping trips
* Moving and handling tasks
* Assisting with food and diet management
* Providing moral support and ensuring safety at all times
* Other relevant duties as required


Candidate Qualities

* Respectful of employer’s privacy and confidentiality
* Reliable with good timekeeping and punctual
* Cat lover with comfort around pets
* Understanding of the employer’s needs and short‑term memory issues caused by anxiety
* Empathy, friendliness, sense of humour, patience, down‑to‑earth and easy‑going
* Ability to perform tasks with guidance where appropriate
* Ability to transfer to shower/bath and assist during bathroom activities
* Respect for safety procedures and vigilance at all times


Requirements

* Must be female (gender exception under Equality Act 2010).
* Non‑smoker.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willing to undergo Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.


Benefits & Contract

Contract of employment with 5.6 weeks of paid leave and holiday pay. The role may begin as holiday cover with potential to become permanent if mutually agreed.
